New deal could make migrant removals easier

Critics fear human rights protections for migrants could weaken following a new declaration agreed by European countries. The UK and 45 other Council of Europe members signed this non-binding political signal in Moldova on Friday. It aims to make removing illegal foreign nationals easier, urging courts to apply laws more restrictively in migration cases.
