Network Rail fined £1.2m after wall collapse hurt 81-year-old man

Network Rail received a £1.2 million fine after a wall at Rugby railway station fell on an 81-year-old man. Edward Hanlon suffered several broken ribs and a punctured lung in September 2022, staying in hospital for two weeks. The Office of Rail and Road said Network Rail had failed to inspect the wall, which it owned.
