Netanyahu orders strikes on Beirut's southern suburbs

People in Beirut's southern suburbs are facing Israeli attacks after the Prime Minister ordered strikes, deepening the conflict with Hezbollah. Retaliating for assaults on Israeli civilians, Benjamin Netanyahu announced that 'terrorist targets' in the Hezbollah-controlled neighborhood of Dahieh would be hit on Monday. The current situation follows the utter collapse of a US-mediated ceasefire, which was declared in April and proved incapable of halting the continuing conflict.
