Netanyahu hails Indian pilot as hero after flydubai stabbing
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised Indian Captain Smit Machchar for his "extraordinary bravery" after he was stabbed by his co-pilot during a flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv. Despite serious injuries, Machchar opened the cockpit door, allowing passengers to overpower the attacker and preventing a potential disaster. The aircraft was later landed safely in Saudi Arabia with 174 people on board.
