Nationwide steam train ban imposed over wildfire risk in heatwave

Network Rail has grounded heritage steam trains across the UK due to extreme heat and fears of trackside fires. A wildfire last Saturday, reportedly started by a Harry Potter train, closed the West Coast Main Line. Many heritage railways are now using diesel engines, disrupting trips for thousands of passengers.
