National Grid delays Tata Steel furnace 12 months.

Jobs and local businesses could face more uncertainty as work on a major steel project in south Wales falls behind schedule. Trade unions urged ministers to step in after Tata Steel said its new electric arc furnace at Port Talbot could be held back by as much as 12 months because of connection problems. National Grid cited engineering, planning and environmental difficulties, while Tata is considering a temporary power supply.
