Microsoft chief executive Satya Nadella said advanced AI models need an emergency brake that lets an authorised person pause or shut a system mid task. In a post on X he called for separating models from the harness that directs them externalising safeguards and logging meaningful actions in tamper proof human readable form. Firms should assume a model is compromised and contain it from the start he argued amid growing industry debate over AI safety controls today.
