Musk denies report Tesla may sell China business for SpaceX merger
A Wall Street Journal report claims advisers have discussed selling or closing Tesla's China operations to help a possible merger with SpaceX. Elon Musk called the report "absurdly fake news" on X, saying it has never been discussed. The Journal said the move would untangle Tesla's Chinese manufacturing from SpaceX, a US defence contractor, due to national security concerns.
