Musk claims new Grok 4.5 matches Claude Opus

It's another salvo in the AI model race, but the claim rests on xAI's own tests, with nothing public to verify it. Elon Musk said on Sunday that Grok 4.5, now in private beta at SpaceX and Tesla, performs 'close to, perhaps exceeding' Claude Opus. There are no public benchmarks yet, and Grok was trained partly on Cursor data, the coding tool SpaceX is buying.
