Mother of Sydney Terrorist Shooter Defends Son as 'Good Boy' After Hanukkah Attack
The mother of 24-year-old Naveed Akram, who joined his father in a deadly terrorist attack at a Sydney Hanukkah celebration that killed 15 people, defended her son saying he was a quiet man who goes to work, comes home and exercises. Verena Akram told local media anyone would wish to have a son like hers despite evidence suggesting her son and his 50-year-old father Sajid had pledged allegiance to ISIS and carried out the antisemitic attack at Bondi Beach.
