Minister challenges police advice to treat minorities differently
Police anti-racism guidance, suggesting ethnic minorities be treated differently for better outcomes, is now under pressure. Policing minister Sarah Jones said this advice gives the "wrong impression" and shouldn't be shaped by Southampton protest violence. Two individuals were apprehended amid the unrest, and the confrontations resulted in injuries to eleven police officers and one K9.
