Millions vote as Labour faces big test

The results of today's elections will determine who governs national parliaments and local councils across Great Britain. Millions of people are heading to the polls on Thursday 7 May for the biggest set of elections since 2024. Voters will elect representatives for about 5,000 seats across 136 local councils in England, plus Scottish and Welsh parliament members.
