Mike Ashley's retail empire Frasers now owns almost 48% of Hugo Boss
The UK firm launched a hostile €2 billion bid to buy the rest of the German fashion brand in June. Executives at the designer label told investors to ignore the €38-per-share cash offer last month because they felt it undervalued the business. The European Union approved the takeover attempt in late July, leaving Frasers firmly in place as the biggest single investor.
