Michel Roux Jr Says Pay Scandal Will Haunt Him Forever

Celebrity chef Michel Roux Jr has told BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs that underpaying kitchen staff at his Mayfair restaurant Le Gavroche is something he will carry to his grave. A 2016 Guardian investigation found some workers there earned below the legal minimum wage. Roux, now 66, says he apologised immediately, repaid what was owed in full and still feels awful about it today.
