Meta to stand US court trial over Facebook and Instagram child safety

Attorneys general from four US states are seeking financial damages and operational changes to Facebook and Instagram. The lawsuit, which began Tuesday in California, alleges Meta has exacerbated a youth mental health crisis. They claim Meta collects data on under-13s without parental consent, breaking federal law.
