Melbourne mega datacentre plan draws local opposition
Plans for a huge datacentre in Plumpton, near Melbourne, reveal it would be roughly six times larger than Chadstone shopping centre. It would also require more electricity than Victoria's biggest power station. Syncline Energy is undertaking community consultation before submitting its planning application, with over 3,600 people signing a petition.
