Melbourne lab opens data centre with human brain cells.
Energy consumption for complex computing tasks might significantly decrease due to the development of new biological systems. Cortical Labs in Melbourne launched a prototype 'Bio Data Centre' on Tuesday, housing 120 of its unique CL1 computers. Each CL1 device contains around 200,000 human brain cells that have learned to play the video game Doom.
