Meghan Markle contacts father after leg amputation surgery

The Duchess of Sussex has contacted her estranged father Thomas Markle after he underwent emergency surgery to amputate his left leg below the knee following a blood clot that cut off circulation. The 81-year-old remains in intensive care in the Philippines after the life-threatening three-hour procedure on December 3. A spokesperson confirmed Meghan 'reached out' to her father after years of estrangement since their 2018 falling out over staged paparazzi photos.
