Mayor confirms Oxford Street pedestrianisation plans for this summer

The Mayor of London has announced that Oxford Street will become traffic-free by late summer following final approval of the scheme. The transformation involves banning all vehicles, including buses and taxis, from the section between Oxford Circus and Marble Arch to create a tree-lined pedestrian plaza.
