Mastercard to pay £100 million compensation to millions of UK shoppers
Following the resolution of an extended legal dispute, Mastercard will pay compensation to millions of shoppers across the UK. The lawsuit, which claimed that Mastercard imposed unjust fees from 1992 to 2008, was spearheaded by Walter Merricks, previously a financial ombudsman. Approximately 47 million individuals may qualify for payments starting at £45, with the claims process commencing before the year concludes.
