Massive chicken farm fire sends smoke across Cheshire

A huge fire at a chicken farm in Cheshire has been burning for over 12 hours, with smoke so thick that people nearby have been told to keep windows shut. Ten fire engines rushed to the four-acre shed in Bridgemere this morning after the blaze started around 6:30am. The completely destroyed building was about the size of two football pitches, and drivers on the M6 could see the enormous smoke plume.
