Manchester United slipped to a 4-2 home defeat by Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Sunday, leaving Michael Carrick's side inside the relegation zone heading into the international break. Villa scored twice in the opening four minutes through Alysson and Nicolas Jackson. Bruno Fernandes and Youri Tielemans pulled United level before half-time, but John McGinn's penalty and Leon Goretzka's close-range finish sealed the visitors' victory.
