About 3,000 homes and businesses in Maghull, Merseyside, have been without internet and phone lines since Thursday afternoon due to damaged underground cables. An MP called the ongoing outage "disgraceful" as Openreach, the broadband provider, works to fix the "significant damage" caused by sewer repair contractors.
