Macron Calls Deadly Paris Suburb Shooting a Racist Terror Attack

European Commission Audiovisual Service, CC BY 4.0, via Wikimedia Commons

French President Emmanuel Macron has called Friday's drive-by shooting in Trappes and La Verrière, west of Paris, a racist terrorist attack. A gunman firing from a car over about 15 minutes killed one man and wounded five others, including a 12-year-old girl shot eight times. A 39-year-old suspect was later arrested with a submachine gun, and anti-terror prosecutors found his flat booby-trapped with gas canisters.
