Long A&E waits linked to 1,300 monthly deaths

More than 1,300 people in England are dying each month because of long waits in A&E, a shocking rise in a decade. New figures from the Royal College of Emergency Medicine show over 300 deaths were linked to long waits every week last year. This is a tenfold increase from 2015, when about 30 deaths a week were reported.
