London taxpayers lose £19m annually from West Ham stadium deal
London taxpayers are losing £19 million annually because of a long-term agreement with West Ham over the London Stadium. The deal, which Boris Johnson concluded in 2013 when he was mayor, has been criticised by current mayor Sir Sadiq Khan. London Stadium LLP, the body managing the venue, said the deal is a "very good contract for West Ham United."
