London stocks drop to two-week low despite drugmaker's US win

The FTSE 100 dropped one percent to a two-week low on Tuesday while the midcap index faced its worst single-day fall since March. Rising yields on ten-year gilts reached their highest point since 2008 as fighting in the Middle East pushed oil prices higher and stoked inflation worries. Meanwhile, drugmaker Reckitt Benckiser gained 4.4 percent following a favourable ruling in a United States baby formula trial.
