London firefighters tackle two huge Romford grass fires as wildfire risk rises
Around 120 firefighters battled two large grass fires in Romford, east London, on Wednesday. One fire near Eastern Avenue West burned through 30 acres of grassland, while another near Southern Way was also substantial. London Fire Brigade Assistant Commissioner Pam Oparaocha urged people not to use disposable barbecues and to dispose of smoking materials safely.
