Lloyds joins Stripe to give small firms faster payment tools

Lloyds will use Stripe, the fintech company valued at about $160bn, to let business customers start taking payments within minutes through its new Lloyds Accept service. Amanda Murphy, chief executive of Lloyds Business and Commercial Banking, said firms need simple and flexible payment options. Lloyds serves around 1m business customers and plans to provide £35bn in new UK business finance over the next year.
