Liverpool mayor won't back tip changes if recycling gets harder

Liverpool City Region Mayor Steve Rotheram said he won't support proposed changes to Merseyside's rubbish tips if they make it tougher for people to recycle. The Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority wants to bring in a booking system, a "fair use" limit on visits, and require waste separation. Residents have until 22 September to share their views on these suggested changes.
