Lithium-ion batteries are a top airline risk, with two incidents weekly

The airline industry sees lithium-ion batteries as a top three safety risk, with about two related incidents every week. It's much harder for crew to deal with these fires at 32,000 feet, where they can quickly reach 700 to 1000 degrees. Passengers should keep devices in the cabin and avoid cheap battery packs or unsuitable cables.
