Lightning strikes cause fires across Sussex and Kent
Fire crews across Sussex and Kent had a busy night, tackling multiple blazes that lightning strikes ignited in the early hours of this morning. Homes in Eastbourne and Bexhill suffered serious damage, with firefighters using an aerial ladder platform at one scene once the lightning eased. There were no casualties reported from any of the incidents, which followed a yellow weather warning for lightning.
