Lib Dems sweep all 54 seats on Richmond council

The Liberal Democrats won every single one of the 54 seats on Richmond Council in west London, the first London result of the night. The Greens lost their five councillors and the Conservatives lost their only seat on the authority. The Lib Dems also took control of Portsmouth and Stockport overnight, with the party up 34 seats across England by Friday morning.
