Laos won't charge anyone over 2024 methanol poisoning deaths
Authorities in Laos have decided not to charge anyone directly for the deaths of six tourists, including British national Simone White, from methanol poisoning in November 2024. They stated they couldn't determine if individual actions caused the deaths because no autopsies were conducted. Simone's brother, Zak, called the conclusion "pretty ridiculous" as her death certificate lists "methanol toxicity" as a cause.
