Landseer stag painting sells for £5.9m, a new record

A lesser-known companion piece to the famous "Monarch of the Glen" painting has sold for a record price. "Scene in Braemar" by Sir Edwin Landseer, Queen Victoria's favourite artist, fetched five times his previous auction record. The large painting, showing a 12-point stag, last sold for £793,500 in 1994.
