Landlords must register properties from December, costing £65 a year

The new national database, part of the Renters' Rights Act, will roll out region by region across England starting on 15 December 2026. Landlords will be required to pay an annual charge of £65 per property and could incur penalties for failing to register. All landlords actively letting property must be registered by 14 November 2027.
