Labour MPs plan letter asking Starmer to quit
The Labour party could face chaos if MPs succeed in their plot to remove Keir Starmer, especially after potentially losing over 1,500 council seats. Disgruntled backbenchers intend to send an open letter following this week's local elections, asking him to set a timetable for his resignation. Communities Secretary Steve Reed has warned that a leadership challenge only "ends in annihilation".
