Labour minister: No tax hikes for benefits funding

Good news for your wallet: a Labour minister has confirmed the party isn't planning to increase taxes for extra benefits. Cabinet minister Nick Thomas-Symonds made the statement after some 'embarrassing' private messages between colleagues became public. Pat McFadden, the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, voiced concerns about how benefits would be financed, advocating instead for the establishment of employment avenues.
