Klopp Initially Doubted Salah Signing, Preferred Brandt
Mohamed Salah's highly successful Liverpool tenure nearly took a different path due to initial managerial reservations. Former research director Ian Graham recently disclosed that Jurgen Klopp was not convinced by Salah's signing in 2017, having initially preferred German midfielder Julian Brandt. Despite earlier reluctance, the compelling performance data from the club's analytics department ultimately led the German coach to approve the transfer, which carried an approximate valuation of €42 million.
