King Harald V of Norway dies aged 89

King Harald V of Norway has died peacefully at 89, after being admitted to hospital last week for a rare blood condition. He was Norway's first king born in the country since the 14th Century, and his son Haakon is next in line to the throne. Harald was seen as a popular and modernising figure, remembered for marrying a commoner.
