Kidney cancer concern near Pfas factory, no cluster found
Residents near a Lancashire chemical plant were advised not to eat local produce due to 'forever chemicals'. A government-funded health cell investigated kidney cancer rates between 2003 and 2022 near the Thornton-Cleveleys factory. While initial screening found higher rates in two areas, the detailed assessment found no evidence of a disease cluster.
