Kick It Out Reports Record Discrimination Rise In Football

Kick It Out recorded 1,744 discrimination reports in English football during the 2025-26 season, a 25% increase and a new high. Racism accounted for 792 reports, up 19%, while anti-immigrant chanting rose to 39 cases, more than the previous two seasons combined. Chief executive Samuel Okafor said the figures show discrimination remains embedded in the game and called for tougher sanctions.
