Kent water outage: Pumping fault meets heatwave demand
Families in parts of Kent and Sussex were left without running water during hot weather, with emergency bottled supplies brought in for some residents. South East Water said on Monday that a pumping station fault near Charing and higher demand caused the weekend disruption. Around 250 properties still had no supply by Monday after outages hit about 800 homes in Kent and 168 in Eastbourne.
