Javid says Johnson was Cummings' puppet
Former Chancellor Sajid Javid revealed he directly challenged Boris Johnson about being Dominic Cummings' puppet during his 2020 resignation. In a newly published Ministers Reflect interview, Javid said he told the Prime Minister he was the actual puppet and that Cummings was running rings around him. Javid resigned as Chancellor in February 2020 after Johnson demanded he fire his advisers and replace them with Cummings-selected staff. The confrontation exposed deep tensions in Number 10.
