Israel says Gaza strike hit Hamas commander
Fighting in Gaza could worsen after Israel said it targeted Hamas military leader Izz al-Din al-Haddad in an air attack on Gaza City. Israeli officials announced the strike on Friday, while Hamas had not immediately confirmed whether al-Haddad was killed or injured. Palestinian health officials said at least seven people died and dozens were hurt after strikes hit a residential building and a vehicle.
