Israel maintains UK intelligence sharing despite new trade ban, consulate closure

Foreign secretary Ed Miliband said both countries still benefit from the relationship, easing fears that the recent trade block would break security ties. Speaking on Wednesday, he claimed America shares British frustration over the Israeli government failing to control violent West Bank settlers. However, Israel is still retaliating in other ways, such as closing a UK consulate in East Jerusalem and banning 12 MPs from entering.
