Israel expects 595,000 new voters in 2026 election, a record high
Around 595,000 Israelis aged 18 to 22 will cast their ballots for the first time in the 26th Knesset election, representing about 8.7% of all eligible voters. The 2026 election will see the biggest wave of new voters since Israel's founding. The haredi and Arab communities are driving this electoral growth, with women making up a slight majority of these new voters.
