Tuesday's inflation surprise says maybe: US stocks rallied on a softer consumer-price reading and Nasdaq futures climbed again this morning ahead of another key inflation report due today. Morgan Stanley added fuel, beating forecasts with $3.46 earnings per share on $21.35bn revenue. The optimism sits beside oil at $85 a barrel, which could push fuel prices back up if Hormuz fighting drags on.
