Ireland faces rising maritime security risks near coastal waters
Ireland is waking up to maritime security threats as Russian spy ships and shadow fleet vessels operate near its waters. Despite approximately 75% of transatlantic underwater internet cables running near the nation, Ireland allocates a mere 0.2% of its GDP to military defence.
