Iraqi man charged over plots to bomb Jewish sites

People in North America and Europe faced terror threats from an alleged Iraqi militia commander, Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood al-Saadi. The US Justice Department charged him on Friday with six terrorism-related counts for allegedly planning over a dozen attacks since 9 March. These included plots against a New York City synagogue and Jewish institutions in Los Angeles, alongside 18 attacks in Europe.
